GARY TANNENBAUM’S ACCREDITATIONS

As in every profession, continuing education is essential to providing up-to-date and professional skills needed to excel.  Below are the definitions of some accreditations and designations I have earned that have been invaluable in my success as a Real Estate Consultant & Broker.

GRI® Designation
GRI, which stands for Graduate, REALTOR® Institute, is a nationally recognized professional real estate designation.   The GRI designation is considered the nation’s number one real estate designation.   This designation may only be earned after successfully completing a rigorous educational program.  This designation is available only to members of the local, state, and National Association of REALTORS.

ABR® Designation
The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.   This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council ("REBAC") of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

Realtor® Designation
Not all real estate agents are Realtors®.  A Realtor® is a member in good standing of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR).  A Realtor® must adhere to a strict code of ethics that is designed to treat our clients and run our business in an ethical manner.   I first became a Realtor in the 1980s.  I’ve been a full time Realtor for the past 20 years.

Real Estate Broker’s License
I am a licensed Broker in the State of Arizona.  To obtain a Broker’s License a real estate agent must have been licensed for 3 of the last 5 years in Arizona, taken 90 hours of class work and passed 2 school and 2 state examinations.    Real estate brokers are held to a higher standard than agents and are allowed to start their own real estate brokerage business.

MBA Degree
My Masters Degree in Business Administration was in Technology Management.  This 2 1/2 year program covered general business knowledge with a concentration on managing the technology of today.  Requirements for the program included working in a technical field for at least 3 years and having at least a 3.0 GPA in an undergraduate degree.

I’m proud of my accreditations and the work that was required to earn them and I continue to look for ways to improve service to my clients.
